Purpose of the role 

To install and repair machinery using specialized tools, align and replace machine individual parts.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage stocks of spares & equipment needed to maintain Plant.
• Ensure machinery utilization to full capacity.
• Install and disassemble machinery.
• Repair and replace defective machine parts.
• Planned maintenance executed and improved operational efficiency at all machines assigned to the position.
• Minimize plant downtime through efficient & effective maintenance.
• Ensure all maintenance job are completed in a manner that’s safe and according to the latest workplace safety regulations, laws and requirements.
• Troubleshoot equipment to establish problems and find solutions.
• Assisting with emergency response and evacuations.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience 

• Matric or equivalent
• Trade tested Millwright N3 Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Electro-Mechanics, Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical will be advantageous.
• 3-5 years working experience as a Millwright in FMCG industry desirable.
