Purpose of the role
To perform master diagnostic tests, maintenance, and repairs on vehicles according to manufacturers’ standards and specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with customers to explain vehicle issues and provide recommendations for necessary repairs.
- Follow instructions and accept guidance.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and provide exceptional customer service.
- Proficiency in repairing and maintaining various vehicle systems such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- 3-5 years’ experience as a vehicle mechanic.
- Driver’s License.
- Automotive Mechanic Trade Test.
Competencies (Skills, Behaviour & Knowledge)
- Excellent diagnostic abilities.
- Profound knowledge of systems and tools needed to perform a procedure.
- Sound understanding of safety precautions.
- Ability to determine what type of tools will be used in which situation.
- Ability to detect problems and perform troubleshooting procedures.
- Ability to handle precision machines and material handling equipment.
- Able to communicate with all levels of the organization.
