Purpose of the role
To maintain all manufacturing equipment, transformers, substations, and other elements of the plant electrical network.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete process verification check-sheet & address in agreed time the issues, near misses as per requirement.
- Ensure stability of the power supply, 0 unaddressed issues with plant electrical network.
- Support production and eliminate any downtime Ensure incident reports are ready before end of the shift, follow plant issue escalation & business continuity plan.
- Continuous improvement.
- Be able to work individually and as a team, fulfill the versatility objectives.
- Ensure back-up is 100% operational.
- Ensure compliance as all time.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 or N3 equivalent.
- N4 plus Trade Test Certificate Electrician
- 3-5 years High Voltage experience & substation maintenance experience.
- Operating Regulations for High Voltage Systems (ORHVS).
- Wiremen’s license.
- FLT, MEWP driving licenses will be an advantage.
Competencies (Skills, Behaviour & Knowledge)
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic PLC knowledge.
- Knowledge of compressor, effluent plant, RO plant, chiller & HVAC units equipment will be an advantage.
- AC/DC Drives working knowledge advantageous.
- Maintenance experience of compressor, effluent plant, RO plant, chiller & HVAC units equipment will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of HT Substations and switchgear.
