Purpose of the role
To designs optimize, and oversee processes in manufacturing and production environments to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to optimize production processes.
- Provide technical support during trials, commissioning, and operational phases, ensuring successful implementation and optimization of processes
- Lead process design efforts, including generating flow sheets, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
- Collect and analyze complex data to understand process phenomena, validate improvements, and generate detailed reports for ongoing process enhancement.
- Support plant commissioning and provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform continuous improvement activities to enhance production capacity, quality, and reliability.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- BEng/BSc in Chemical, Metallurgical, or related engineering fields.
- Professional Engineering registration with ECSA or equivalent.
- Minimum 4-8 years of experience in process engineering within FMCG/Manufacturing/EPCM environments.
- Proven track record in technical design and process optimization.
- Hands-on experience in commissioning and plant optimization.
Competencies (Skills, Behaviour & Knowledge)
- Proficiency in developing and analysing process designs (flow sheets, P&IDs).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis.
- Expertise in continuous improvement methodologies and process control.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead and train teams.
