Purpose of the role
To designs and develop detailed plans for solar PV system installations, ensuring compliance with client requirements and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design photovoltaic (PV) systems from conceptual to detailed construction-ready plans, including layouts and performance estimates.
- Provide technical support throughout project stages, from development and construction to operation.
- Conduct site assessments, generate client proposals, and ensure designs meet all necessary standards and requirements.
- Manage multiple complex projects, ensuring completion within budget and deadlines.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external clients, and vendors to ensure project specifications and quality standards are met.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in the solar industry, with expertise in PV system design and electrical projects.
- Proficiency in design tools such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, and simulation software.
- Experience with high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) systems, including installation and commissioning.
- Knowledge of local electrical regulations, Grid Code, and adherence to international PV design standards.
- Driver’s license and availability for national and international travel.
